Creating a New Project
Creating a flash music player using the A4Desk Music Player basically
involves creating a project. You can create as many projects as you wish.
Each new music player will require creating a new project.
To create a new project
From the File
menu click New. (Speedkey: Ctrl + N)

Click the New button from the Toolbar.
The Select Player Design dialog
opens.

Select a design for your player from the list.
To browse the list of designs click Next
Page.
Based on the version you have purchased Music
player offers a variety of players to choose from. To see the players each version offers, please go to our Registration page at http://music.a4desk.com/license/ .
Select a player of your choice and click OK.
The selected player is instantly inserted into
the Preview panel. A default album
of the name Sample Album is inserted into the Albums
box and two demo songs (Song 01 and Song 02) are inserted into the Songs in Selected album box. The two
songs begin playing in an infinite loop. Each song lasts for 9 seconds.
You can either convert this default album to one
of your choice or create an altogether new album. To give this default
album a name of your choice enter the new name in the Name
field under Album Settings panel
as shown below.

Press the enter key and the name of the album
will be changed in the Albums
box. Simultaneously the player is refreshed and the default songs begin
playing.
You can also change the details of the songs of
this default album to ones of your choice by selecting the songs one by
one and changing their information in the Songs
Settings panel. For the songs you can change name of artist, name
of song, their source (location) and associate images to them.
To change the details of a song, click on the
song then change the details in the Title
and Artist fields.
For the MP3 File
field select either the Local
or Remote radio button. If Local is selected click the Browse
button and select the MP3 song from the computer. If Remote
is selected the Browse button
is disabled and you have to enter the website address of the file in the
field. By default the MP3 file is stored in a folder called Radio.
To associate an image file for the song select
either the Local or Remote
radio button. If Local is selected
click the Browse button and select
the MP3 song from the computer. If Remote
is selected the Browse button
is disabled and you have to enter the website address of the file in the
Artist Picture field. By default
the MP3 file is stored in a folder called Image. The Image also appears in the
player when the song is being played.

To add more albums click the add button of the Albums
box and continue as indicated above.

To add more songs click the
button of
the Songs in Selected Album box
and continue as indicated above.
Note:
Every time you enter an element into the fields of the Albums/Songs panel the
player is refreshed and the new songs begin playing in a 9 second loop. Other
functions such as ordering albums or songs in an album can be done with the
help of the ordering buttons. Click to move
a song or album one step up in the list. Click to
move a song or album one step down in the list. Click
to delete a song or album. You can also use the same options from the Album
and Song menus of the Menu bar. The
Album and Song
menus of the menu bar have one more additional functionality to select all albums
or All songs through the Select All
option. This helps in situations where you want to select 10 or more songs or
albums to delete.

To save the project select Save As
(Save if the project has already
been saved) from the File menu or
click the Save button on the Toolbar.
If you are saving the project for the first time
the Windows Save As dialog opens
where you can save the project file otherwise clicking the Save
from the File menu or the Save button on the Toolbar
saves the file without prompting for file name.
Note:
The default
filename extension of the project file is *.ppl
(Project Play List) and it is stored in the Project
folder.

To close a saved project select Close
from the File menu or click the
Close
button from the Toolbar . (Speedkey
- Ctrl+W) If changes to a project file hasn't
been made the project file is closed otherwise the following dialog is displayed.

Click Yes
to save the project.
